Which of the world’s celebrities own expensive NFT tokens: a detailed list
NFTs continue to gain popularity
The Bored Ape Yacht Club ( BAYC ) NFT collection is one of the rare crypto projects that have gained a lot of popularity even outside of the digital asset industry. The unique BAYC tokens are also owned by world celebrities, and the collection itself, with its three counterparts from the same developer studio, has reached trading volumes of $2 billion. Let’s list the most famous celebrities in the NFT holders crowd.
Recall that Bored Ape Yacht Club is the most expensive collection of NFT tokens at the moment. Initially, tokens were sold at 0.08 ETH, but today the minimum cost of the representatives of the set is 107 ETH, that is, the equivalent of 366 thousand dollars. Here is the corresponding rating from the NFT Price Floor platform.
The most expensive collections of NFT tokens
The project was created by representatives of the company Yuga Labs, who were in the news the day before. The reason for this is the purchase of the famous collection called CryptoPunks, which became known in the middle of the month.
As a result, NFTs continue to gain popularity. This is also facilitated by the stars who buy tokens for personal use.
Who invests in NFT tokens
NFTs may even become a new field of activity for some celebrities. For example, YouTube star and rapper KSI quickly became a fan of unique tokens. He bought his first NFTs back in August 2021, and two days later he created an alternative Twitter account @ksicrypto dedicated entirely to NFTs. The investment in Bored Ape Yacht Club paid off: one of the KSI tokens rose in price over $100,000 very quickly.
Another popular rapper who became the owner of NFT is Post Malone. Previously, he changed his Twitter profile photo to an avatar from the BAYC series. The performer also appeared in an advertisement for the MoonPay payment processor: in the video, he buys a copy of the NFT collection and shares his impressions about it.
Post Malone NFT Token
In addition to KSI and Post Malone, four-time NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal has also joined the crypto community. He owns a unique token from the Mutant Ape Yacht Club collection – this is an alternative NFT series about “monkeys” from the same Yuga Labs developer studio. The basketball player purchased token #14452 in September for about $14,000. It is currently valued at a minimum of $66,983.

Fourth on Decrypt‘s celebrity list is rapper, musician and Linkin Park member Mike Shinoda. He also has tokens from the Mutant Ape Yacht Club and Bored Ape Yacht Club series. In addition, Shinoda is releasing his own NFT collection, and regularly streams on Twitch the process of creating new unique tokens.
The next line of the celebrity rating is Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon. In one of the episodes where the creator of the most expensive digital art in the world, Beeple, was invited, Phalon stated that he purchased Bored Ape #599 token for about 224 thousand dollars . He also shared the event on his Twitter and promised to “consider” buying a token from the Mutant Ape Yacht Club alternative series.
The aforementioned celebrities are just some of the most famous who own the popular collection tokens. The list can be continued for at least a few more such articles, so we will briefly mark their rating with a few lines.

As can be understood from this list, NFT is no longer a fleeting trend in the crypto industry, but a whole movement that even people far from Bitcoin are interested in. Such hype is clearly beneficial to cryptocurrencies in the long run, as the actions of stars often act as examples for their fans. Accordingly, there will be more NFT holders, but as always, coins are needed to interact with them.
We believe that global celebrities are an important part of promoting NFT around the world. According to sources, some of them purchased tokens as part of advertising agreements, but this does not change the essence. The popularization of non-fungible tokens will be a pass to the world of cryptocurrencies for many people who still have not had time to connect with digital assets. And it will benefit the industry.
