The focus of the NFT project: Anata, anime VTuber NFT from Metaverse
Aesthetics of cyberpunk and cryptocurrency have inspired many features in the collection
Anata is a collection of 2000 Live2D VTuber NFTs that allow owners to liven up their online identity. The crypto-briefing met with Big D Senpai, one of Anata’s developers, to explore all that the project has to offer.
What is Anata NFT?
Anata NFT brings VTubing to the crypto space.
The project allows owners to replace webcam images with a fully animated avatar with motion capture control. Each avatar replicates the facial expressions and movements of the user, allowing the person behind the NFT to remain “anonymous”, presenting to the world a personal view of themselves.
VTubing (short for virtual YouTube) first gained popularity in Japan, but quickly became a hit for Western audiences. Based on the Japanese site Hololive, several anime-inspired VTubers have gained popularity, attracting millions of views on streaming platforms such as Twitch. The best western streamers, such as Pokimaine and Pewdipie, have also experimented with avatars to capture movement, opening the trend to an even wider audience.
However, VTubing can be a complex process. Commissioning a high-quality avatar with advanced hardware and clutch can cost thousands of dollars, and VTubing software is often time-consuming to deal with.
Enter Anata. By creating Live2D avatars presented by NFT on Ethereum, Anat can easily integrate VTuber IDs with Web3 wallets with a browser extension called Hologram. This allows owners to customize their Anata NFT for use in any application that allows the use of a webcam. Anata NFT can be used in Zoom, Google Meet and Discord, as well as integrated with streaming software and even video sharing platforms such as TikTok.
Those who own Anata NFT do not need to post avatar files or run VTubing software on their own machine; instead, everything is hosted on the decentralized Arweave file storage platform, which means that Anat’s avatar can be accessed through a hologram with just one click. The hologram also allows users to set other NFTs in their wallets as a background for their VTuber avatar. This allows users to use their artwork or other NFT in tandem with their avatar Anata.

The crypto-briefing has joined Big D Senpai, one of several aliases of developers working on Anata to talk to someone using Anata NFT, and immerse themselves in the art and technology project.
The collection consists of 2000 VTuber avatars with a 50:50 split between male and female characters. Unlike other outstanding collections such as CryptoPunks or Bored Ape Yacht Club, NFT is not generative. Instead, each NFT is created by hand by a team of dedicated artists from a wide range of features and accessories. Although some features are used several times in the collection, each avatar is guaranteed to be unique.
“Creating a VTuber avatar requires a lot of things, like making sure the rigging and mesh work, and making sure all the parts fit together,” said Big D.
In addition to motion capture technology that reproduces motion, Anata NFT comes with with a range of preloaded emotions that the user can control. As in the anime and manga comics inspired by Anata’s avatars, the various comic book-style characters, representing a wide range of emotions, add another layer of intimacy to the interaction.
In addition to Japanese culture and anime, Big D says the aesthetics of cyberpunk and cryptocurrency have inspired many features in the collection. For example, some avatars have clothes and accessories under the Ethereum brand, while others are decorated with robotic cat ears and futuristic visors. “We just said, ‘Be wild, take things from any anime you like best, take things from movies, real life, anything that excites you, just do it,'” Big D explained, recalling how, in his opinion, the collection is a success. a good balance between futuristic elements and more traditional motifs.
The core team of the project also consists of several key crypto-personalities who have close ties with other celebrities in space. Among the recipients of the honorary NFT collection are anons such as Banteg, Ratwell, Degen Spartan and CL.
VTuber avatars are useful for people who want to play a certain character or express their creativity online, but they are also suitable for several other programs. Anat and her developers see VTubing as a way to revitalize the Metaverse and provide an opportunity for those who want to hide their identity to interact with people on a more personal level.
Big D explained how integrating VTuber Anata’s avatars with blockchain technology can help people bring their persona with them wherever they are online. He stated:
“There has been so much talk about the Metaworld, and everyone thinks it means GameFi and digital earth, but I think it also means – if not more – it means an identity that represents you everywhere, succinctly, especially if you’re anonymous. ”
Helping people stay private is another issue close to the Anata team. Many project developers, such as Big D, DCF GOD and Grug, want to keep their real identities secret by working in cryptospace. VTubing allows them to communicate with fans, employees or other anonymous people more personally than before.
“A lot of people work anonymously in cryptocurrency, and they don’t want to reveal their identity, but they want to have a real conversation where you can look someone in the eye, see their facial expression, see how fussy they are – you can’t really do it anonymously call. “
Some features for Anata NFT have been designed or selected to maintain anonymity. The Hologram browser extension comes with a dead person switch so that the user’s webcam can’t broadcast his or her identity if something goes wrong with motion capture integration. In addition, Hologram also offers full pitch modulation, allowing the user to mask their voice if needed.

Although Hologram greatly simplifies the process of using the VTuber avatar, Big D also acknowledged that some users may want to use their Anata NFT with other VTuber software or live on platforms such as Twitch using Open Broadcaster Software. To help owners get the most out of their NFT, Anata is also creating Anatacademy, a comprehensive course that explains the intricacies of setting up and using a VTuber avatar.
Anatacademy will consist of a series of documents and videos that can be viewed and read at any time, as well as live support and interactive sessions conducted by Big D, where he shares the VTubing experience to help community members get their own avatars. set up exactly the way they want. “We want people who have just purchased these brilliant new NFTs to be able to use them in any way they can,” he said, stressing the importance of building a well-informed and interested community around the project.
Anata wants to run their NFT as honestly as possible, allowing the community to decide how much they are willing to pay for them. The project is planned to be launched through Metadrop through an English auction. It will open with a reserve bid and allow people to place bets above the starting price. At the end of the auction period, the 2,000 best participants will receive an NFT, and all unsuccessful bids will be refunded.
However, the project will not stop after the first launch. 50% of the total amount of Ethereum raised at NFT auctions will be set aside and used to fund various initiatives voted for by Anata NFT owners. Possible use of the community-oriented foundation includes hiring 3D VRM artists to create individual 3D virtual reality versions of each Anata avatar or order stylized versions of each Anata to be used as special profile images. While the launch date of Anata is still unknown, the Big D Crypto Briefing said to wait for the announcement very soon.
VTuber avatar projects like Anata could mark the beginning of a new trend in the NFT space. Anata draws on the idea of NFT profile photos, which were key to making the NFT market valued at a whopping $ 41 billion in 2021. By creating avatars that represent the person behind them on a more intimate level and offering a way to maintain privacy when interacting with others online, Anata seeks to establish herself as the ancestor of a new generation of NFT avatars.
