The prerequisites for the creation of metaverses are considered to be the increased public interest in cryptocurrency as the basis of the new economy, as well as the high demand for virtual reality systems.

The question arises whether the metaverse is a new type of social network? Yes and no. On the one hand, there are similar features, such as a social profile. networks are an avatar in the metaverse. The main difference is the economy. In the social online purchases are made with real money. In the metaverses, NFT tokens will be used, for example, the Ethereum cryptocurrency.

At the moment, hundreds of companies and thousands of employees around the world are working on the creation of either the metaverses themselves, or the development of products necessary for their functioning (infrastructure, software and hardware). Enthusiasts work closely with them, test metaverses for strength, offer their ideas and best practices, and develop various user-generated content.

The first company that managed to show the metaverse as close to definition as possible was Meta with its Horizon Worlds project. Companies of up to 20 people can gather on this platform to travel through virtual worlds, hold business meetings, social gatherings, or create digital content without the use of third-party applications. In addition to the limit of 20 people per server, this project completely lacks any kind of economy, it is an integral part of the metaverse.

According to the CEO of Meta, the first full-fledged metaverse will appear in 5-10 years, thanks to the metaverse, both markets with a potential annual turnover of at least $ 2 trillion, and new professions can arise. It is also important to note the goal of each company to create something of its own, and not work on a single metaverse. Will the metaverses turn into a bubble in this case, or will companies find a common solution? We’ll find out in a few years.

Experts predict several trends that will become the main factors in the development of artificial intelligence technologies in 2022. Among them are speech recognition, AI in information security, autopilot, creation of works of art using AI technologies, low and zero – code in business AI is also increasingly being introduced into software development processes. 

The lack of qualified developers has now reached unprecedented heights. The global deficit, according to analytical agencies, is up to 40% in some industries.

Perhaps this problem will be solved by artificial intelligence, which is able to translate various user actions into program code. Natural language recognition and modeling technologies in the near future may make it possible to use only voice commands or interact with an interface to write services and programs. Such tasks will not require high professional qualifications.

Every year more and more tools are released that help automate part of the routine work of a programmer – test and template code generators, website builders, smart auto-completion and code optimization, etc.

It would seem – to add voice input here and it will already begin to resemble science fiction films where the hero simply formulates tasks, and the AI ​​itself performs the necessary actions.

A reasonable question arises: Will companies really need a programmer if robots are becoming smarter and it seems that they are about to be able to replace “live” developers?

Despite the fact that such tools are still far from perfect and still require constant monitoring by the developer, the progress in this area is obvious: from the usual auto-completion to the generation of entire blocks of ready-made code. Even now, when used correctly, such products, at least, help speed up the process of writing code.

It can be assumed that in 2022 AI will be increasingly integrated into the development process. Moreover, one should not be afraid that such technologies will replace programmers.

Such software will rather not be a competitor, but just another tool in the hands of the developer, a work skill, which will be added to the standard list of requirements for the applicant.

It is difficult to predict exactly where technology development will take us in 2022 and what events may slow it down.

Despite this, current trends allow us to predict unthinkable directions of development in this area, which today are considered something distant and unrealistic. But maybe this reality is not as far away as it seems… and in the end it all depends on us.
