Modder is working on an atmospheric VR addon for Elden Ring – he promised there would be no rolls
Players would have no problem with the frequent rolls that have to be done in Elden Ring
Developer Luke Ross, known for his mods for playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 in virtual reality, has announced that he has begun creating a similar addon for Elden Ring.
The modder is adapting the action RPG for first-person playthrough. According to him, those who wish will be able to play with a third-person view, but he does not recommend doing this, because this mode is less suitable for VR.
Ross stated that the players would have no problem with the frequent rolls that have to be done in Elden Ring. In VR mode, when dodging enemy attacks, the camera will stay in place instead of flipping. Due to this, players will not get sick, especially during battles, during which you need to roll several times in a row.
However, Ross emphasized that his mod will be designed for experienced VR headset users who feel confident in virtual reality. In addition, beginners may be put off by the high dynamics of the game, in which there are a lot of sharp movements and you need to turn often.
The developer plans to release the first version of the VR mod for Elden Ring at the end of April 2022. After that, he will continue to improve it, including based on player feedback.
