Intel has announced the flagship core i9-12900KS chip. The company calls it an ultimatum solution for gamers and says it is the world’s most powerful processor.
The novelty has eight productive cores with a base frequency of 3.4 GHz, eight energy efficient with a frequency of 2.5 to 4.0 GHz, 24 threads and 30 MB of L3 cache. One of the nuclei can automatically accelerate to 5.5 GHz, the others – up to 5.2 GHz.
The processor is equipped with integrated graphics Intel UHD Graphics 770, supports PCIe 4.0/5.0 interfaces, RAM such as DDR4-3200 or DDR5-4800 and Adaptive Boost technology to improve performance.
The base energy level compared to the usual Core i9-12900K increased from 125 to 150 watts. In the U.S., the processor will start selling from April 5 for $739, which is recommended.
