Instagram is testing support for NFT tokens

At first, NFT support will only work for a limited number of US users

The head of the company, Mark Zuckerberg, said that Meta will begin testing NFTs on the social network.

“This week, we’re starting to test digital collectibles on Instagram so that creators and collectors can display their NFTs on their profile,” Zuckerberg said.

He also stated that no commission would be charged for placing tokens. According to media reports, during the testing of the new feature, users will be able to publish NFTs for free by linking their cryptocurrency wallets to a profile.

The company announced support for NFTs released on Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, and Flow. Users will also have access to Trust Wallet, Coinbase and others. At first, NFT support will only work for a limited number of US users. They will be able to share NFTs in the main feed, stories and messages. The company plans to expand NFT services to other markets.
