Here’s what the long-awaited “The Witcher 4” might look like on Unreal 5 Engine

The game is created on Unreal Engine 5 in partnership with Epic Games

A YouTuber, which hosts the popular Cycu1 channel, showed what the new part of the legendary series The Witcher might look like.

The new part of The Witcher was announced in March 2022. The next Witcher will not be called The Witcher 4. The new game will be about other characters. The protagonists will not be Geralt and Tsiri. There will also be some new Sorcerer from the Lynx School.

The game is created on Unreal Engine 5 in partnership with Epic Games but the PC version of the new part of The Witcher will be an exclusive of the Epic Games Store. With Epic Games, developers are working to maximize the adaptation of Unreal Engine 5 to play with a large open world.

Cycu1 shows footage from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and then demonstrates the improvised landscapes of The Witcher 4 on Unreal Engine 5. If the new “The Witcher” really looks like this, it will be a real feast for the eyes.

When to wait for the release? Hardly soon. The game is in the early stages of development. Obviously, we will not see it next year. We are betting on 2024 or even 2025. Target platforms? Not yet named but let’s say it will be on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S / X gaming consoles.
