AI based supersampling technology: Intel introduced a new range of mobile and desktop graphics cards
Three lines are expected, each of which will have several models
Intel introduced its Arc Alchemist discrete mobile graphics cards and described the detailed specifications of the new products. They will go on sale in early summer. Three lines are expected, each of which will have several models.
Intel introduced mobile graphics cards and showed desktop
Intel Arc 3
This is the most basic family, it will have only two models: Arc A350M and Arc A370M. They will get 768 and 1024 cores to handle FP32 operations. This is enough for 60 FPS at 1080p resolution on “medium” graphics settings. These cards will receive 4 GB of GDDR6 memory and a 64-bit bus. They will have 6/8 Xe cores and the same number of blocks for ray tracing. The power consumption will be 23-35 W for the younger model and 35-50 W for the older one.
Intel Arc 5
So far, only the A550M model is in this line. It has 2048 stream processors, 16 Xe cores and the same number of ray tracing units. At the same time, it already has 8 GB of GDDR6 memory, a 128-bit bus and a consumption of 60-80 watts.
Intel Arc 7
There are also two models here: Arc A730M and A770M for 3072 and 4096 stream processors. There are 24/32 Xe cores and the same number of ray tracing units. Also available are 12/16 GB GDDR6 memory, 192/256 bit bus. Consumption is 80-120 W and 120-150 W, respectively.
Intel XeSS upscaler to debut in 14 games this summer
Intel has announced that their machine learning image upscaler will only be available this summer. It was previously believed that we would see him in action in Death Stranding: Director’s Cut, which was released on PC yesterday, but this did not happen. But the technology will be available not in one game, but in fourteen at once.
Also on the XeSS website there are PUBG Studios and Techland logos, which may indicate the addition of technology to PUBG and Dying Light 2. Recall that XeSS will work on video cards of all manufacturers, but with solutions from Intel that have hardware support, it will get a higher performance. With AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards, XeSS will work through DP4A instructions.
Desktop graphics cards
They will be fully presented in the second quarter of 2022. So far, there is only design. And XeSS supersampling technology based on AI algorithms will appear in early summer. They look like this:
